Access Recruitment has announced that it has received accreditation from HMRC for Access Pay and Bill, software that ensures continual payroll compliance for recruitment firms.
Access Pay and Bill serves 75% of the top UK recruiters, with around 500,000 timesheets a week and more than 26 million payroll transactions per year processed by agencies using the software. With an increase in administrative and compliance burdens as regulations and rules continue to change, businesses are increasingly relying on technology to more accurately calculate across PAYE, contractor, Limited Company and umbrella worker types.
Paul Vogel, managing director at Access Recruitment comments: “Access commits significant ongoing investment to our recruitment agency payroll and invoicing software to guarantee that our customers comply with regulations as efficiently as possible. Some companies we talk to before partnering with us waste hours every week manually entering data and can lack payroll accuracy. For Access customers, having our solution tested and recognised by HMRC is the highest level of endorsement available.”
To achieve the accreditation Access was required to calculate a series of different payroll scenarios to test every element of its UK payroll functionality. The RTI Online Service and HMRC marked the results on 100% accuracy or fail basis (subject to the usual rounding rules that can apply to payroll). Access Recruitment will reapply for the accreditation on an annual basis so that users can be assured that their payroll software is always up to date with the latest regulations and fully recognised by HMRC.
Access Pay and Bill allows recruitment firms to validate and automate timesheet collection at high volumes, bill clients, track purchase orders, provide sophisticated reporting along with accurate gross profit output from one system. A wealth of features include client, worker and consultant web portals, commission calculations and accrual management. Access Recruitment also offers a Pay and Bill managed service that processes transactions using its software on behalf of agencies that prefer the scalability of an outsourced solution.
